RavePin
Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what RavePin (ravepin.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. RavePin is operated by F&K SERVICES NY INC, New York, USA ("we", "us"). Questions: fishy@ravepin.com.
The short version
- We collect what the app needs to work: your account details and what you share with your crew.
- Your location is shared only when you turn it on, only with your crew, and we keep only your latest position.
- We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we collect
- Account: your name (what your friends call you), email address, phone number and password. Your password is stored only as a salted, one-way hash, so nobody can read it.
- Email codes: when we email you a code to confirm your email or reset your password, we store only a hashed copy of the code. It expires after 10 minutes.
- Crews: the crews you create or join, your name and role in each, and anything optional you add to your crew profile, like a color or a Venmo / Cash App handle for splitting costs.
- Things you add in a crew: starred sets, festival plans, meet-up pins and replies, shared expenses, your crew's home base (a label, address or pin), and custom sets or parties.
- Location (only if you turn it on): when you share your location with a crew, we store your latest position (each new one replaces the last) and show it to the approved members of that crew. When you stop sharing you can keep your last spot shown as paused or delete it, and leaving a crew deletes it. If you send an SOS, your alert and position go to your crews for that festival; an SOS stops showing when you clear it or after 12 hours without an update.
- On your phone: the app keeps your login token, your crews and your settings in your browser's local storage so it opens fast. We keep only a hash of the login token on our server. Logging out removes it from your phone and our server.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and give us basic traffic stats. We also use your IP address to limit too many wrong log-in or join attempts in a 10-minute window.
How we use it
- To run the app: log you in, keep your crews in sync, and show your crew what you choose to share.
- To send emails: log-in and confirmation codes, password resets, and a one-time welcome email. Festival news and after-party invites are sent only if you tick that box when you sign up, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep RavePin secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it with advertisers, and there are no ads in RavePin.
Who can see what
- Your crew sees your name and what you share in that crew. They never see your phone number or email.
- Crew admins see only the last 4 digits of a member's phone number, to tell people apart when approving join requests.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, protects it from attacks and provides basic traffic stats (Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies).
- Resend sends our emails, so it receives your email address and the email's content.
- OpenStreetMap provides street map images. When you view a street map, your phone loads them from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address and the map area.
Links to Google Maps or Apple Maps for directions, to ticket sites, to payment apps and to Instagram open those services under their own privacy policies. Some ticket links may include a RavePin referral code, which only tells the ticket site that you came from RavePin. Cloudflare runs a global network, so your data may be processed outside your country.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and crew data while your account exists. For location we keep only your latest position, as described above. Meet-ups stop showing a week after their time.
Deleting your account
Email fishy@ravepin.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll delete your account, your log-ins, your codes and your crew memberships, plus any crew where you are the only member along with everything in it. Things you posted in a crew you shared with others (for example a meet-up or an expense) may stay visible to that crew. You can also leave a crew at any time in the app.
Your choices
You can change your name and email in the app, turn location sharing on or off per crew, leave crews, and unsubscribe from news emails. To get a copy of your data or correct it, email us.
Security
RavePin is served only over HTTPS. Passwords, login tokens and email codes are stored as hashes, codes expire, and repeated wrong tries are limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
RavePin is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
